Rating: 1.5/4 -- A lightweight flick about a heavy-duty subject, A Dark Truth plays like a TV movie back in the days when TV wasn't worth watching. Full Review

A self-serious eco-thriller assembled with a competent but heavy hand.

Rating: C- -- An interesting baby step toward a larger discussion of the water rights issue, but there's not enough integrity here to savor, with all the violence and cliche drowning out the lasting message of the movie. Full Review

Rating: 2/5 -- For all the attempted intrigue and mayhem, the film is dullsville, mired by a poky script, unremarkable action and, the hard-working Garcia aside, uninspired performances. Full Review

Product Description:

A tipster (Deborah Kara Unger) hires a former CIA agent-turned-talk-show host named Jack Begosian (Andy Garcia) to expose the role her employers played in massacring a South American village, and then subsequently covering up the atrocity. Although Jack succeeds in finding witnesses who are willing to testify against the powerful corporation, the political firestorm he stokes during the course of his investigation soon threatens to consume everyone involved.
